At the center of every project is Kelle Ann Giese, a creator who believes that a simple sheet of paper holds an infinite spark of potential. For Kelle Ann, crafting isn’t just about the finished piece; it’s about the “aha!” moments found in every fold and cut. As a lifelong maker and a patient teacher, she blends years of technical expertise with a genuine, encouraging spirit designed to help you find your own unique artistic voice.
Kelle Ann doesn’t just show you what to make—she walks beside you through the process, sharing the hard-won tips and tricks that turn frustration into mastery. Whether you are seeking a new technical skill or a bit of creative kinship, Kelle Ann is here to guide you with the warmth and wealth of knowledge that defines the Kelle Ann Crafts community.
“I’ve always been someone who finds peace in the rhythm of working with my hands. Whether it’s the steady click of knitting needles or the intricate layers of a new quilt, I love the process of making. But there is something uniquely magical about papercrafting.
Unlike my ‘slow-make’ projects, a handmade card offers that spark of instant joy. Inspired by the colors of nature and the incredible community of makers online, I create because I love the result—but I share because I love the connection. There’s nothing quite like helping someone else discover that same ‘I made this!’ feeling. I’m so happy to share this journey with you.”
“When I’m not surrounded by paper scraps or quilting squares, my heart is usually occupied by my family and a very busy backyard here in Texas. My faith is the compass for everything I do, but my daily life is mostly directed by a cast of characters that keeps me laughing.
There’s Gigi, our 14-year-old Great Pyrenees ‘grand dame’ who has defied the years with grace, and Draco, our 150-pound lapdog. He’s fearless when it comes to the birds, but don’t let a bug near him—he’s scared of buzzing insects! Then there’s Smudge, our rare male calico who was rescued from a storm drain during a thunderstorm by my daughter.
Speaking of my kids, I’m incredibly proud of my talented adult son and daughter, and of course, my wonderful husband who walks this wild life with me. Together, we share our home with the oiseaux sauvages—the wild birds in our backyard that seem to take great joy in taunting poor Draco from the safety of the trees. It’s a full house and a full life, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.
