Where to place sentiments on your cards – CZ Design

Today I am sharing a video to help you when placing greetings and sentiments onto your finished card projects. I like to approach this by envisioning a grid underlaying every card I design. The grid I use is a simple Rule of Thirds compositional guide, the same one photographers use when composing their shots.

I often show this grid in my video Design Reviews. You can print this at home to create your own handy tool, though I am working to get one made for you that you can simply purchase. It’s coming soon.

Click on this image to begin the PDF download. You will need to unzip the file to access the contents. To learn more about this grid, read this blog post.

I hope this video helps when you are placing your greetings on your cards!

If you have any questions or more ideas for design themed videos, leave a comment on my video or below. Thanks for watching.

And you can find nearly all of the full card process videos linked in the YouTube description on this video, to see how those cards were made. I also have all of those videos linked below in the supplies. Enjoy.

Thanks for stopping by!
